In some cases, our normal carpet cleaning process may be all that’s needed. However, in more severe cases, the urine soaks through the carpet layers and into the backing, carpet pad, and even into the flooring. In this situation, the problem has become “multi-layered” and effective remediation requires multiple steps.

A Multi-Layered Problem

Over time, urine will penetrate through the carpet and pad and even into the floor below. This means that normal cleaning cannot get to the “source” of the problem.

Inspection

To determine exactly where the contamination is, we use a special ultraviolet light. This tool helps illuminate the urine spots so we can determine exactly where treatment is required.

Sub Surface Extraction

The problem areas are flooded with a special neutralizer. Using a “sub-surface extraction” tool, the contamination is rinsed from all the affected layers.
